If you remember TV shows of the 1960s, you may recall the TV detective show, "Ironside", which starred former "Perry Mason" actor Raymond Burr. The show centered around a hard-nosed police detective who was struck down by a bullet, but continued to fight crime in a wheelchair. Well, it's back with a new cast on NBC this fall.

Well, there's no stopping the train now, knock on wood. It will be some months until reigning late night king Jay Leno abdicates the 'Tonight Show' throne to Jimmy Fallon, changing the title to 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' in the process, but at long last, Leno finally has his official February exit date.

If you're a night owl, you've probably caught "The Tonight Show" on NBC TV. On this day in 1954, the original late night program that started it all, "Tonight" premiered on NBC. Comic genius (in my opinion) Steve Allen was the first host, and in its 58 year history, the show has had a total of five hosts. (actually six as Jay Leno has a host stint twice).

As a kid, I remember my mother belonging to the "Record Of The Month Club", and almost every month, an Andy Williams album would arrive at our doorstep.
