Liz DeSanctis needs your help. The MVCC student wants to meet 'American Idol' winner Phillip Phillips when he comes to the Utica campus April 27 for The Spring Meltdown. If her video receives 500 likes by Sunday, April 21, at midnight, on Facebook, she'll get to meet last year's Idol winner. Watch her video plea then help her out. Relay For Life Kick-Off Party Tonight At MVCC

MVCC Nursing Students Win First Place in National Contest [VIDEO]

Nursing students at MVCC have won first place in a National Student Nursing Association competition. The students had to produce a song and video promoting this years theme the "Joy of Nursing". The video was then posted online and on our site three weeks ago, and voted on in competition with several other schools. The MVCC entry garnered the most votes and was declared the winner. A group of students went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend an NSNA conference. Check out the winning video featuring Lynzie Quinn and Brittany Gant.

Hopefully Mother Nature won't slow down The Band Perry, as they travel to the Mohawk Valley for tonights sold out show at MVCC. Rebecca O'Brien not only won tickets, but she'll be meeting the trio before the show. She was our grand prize winner.
Tadpole & Pollywog will welcome the brothers and sister trio on stage. They may even have a few goodies to hand out too.

The Academy of Country Music and Great American Country (GAC) announced today that The Band Perry has been named Top New Vocal Duo or Group for 2011! This ACM award was an entirely fan voted one, and Kimberly, Reid, and Neil are sending their biggest love and thanks to all who voted for them and made this moment a reality.
