Record Store Day
April 22, 2012 I read an article from YNN that said that yesterday, Saturday, was national Record Store Day. How did I miss it? I grew up collecting 45's and LP's and would haunt the local record departments in Woolworth's, the State Street Mill , Stars in Yorkville and , later, The Last Unicorn. When I moved to LA there was a place on Hollywood Boulevard called Tower Records that had everything. Now finding a store that specializes in vinyl is a challenge. There is, however, one that I know of in Utica that is a real treat to visit.
