Fireball Spotted Over Oneida Lake

Rescue teams from several fire companies scrambled Friday night after numerous reports of an explosion on Oneida Lake. As it turns out the bright flash was a meteor or fireball that, according to 9syr.com, prompted a number of calls to 9-1-1 operators. The American Meteor Society posted reports from all over southeastern Canada and the Northeast.
