February 12, 2013 Today is Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday. This year's Mardi Gras is rather early, and next year it's rather late....March 4, 2014. New Orleans is the place known for Mardi Gras celebrations, and they've already started!

February 21, 2012 Today is Mardi Gras, the last day for a big blowout before the start of Lent tomorrow. The celebrations have been going on all week in New Orleans including the big "Krewe of Bacchus" parade Sunday with Will Ferrell serving as the grand marshall or "Bacchus XLIV".
February 1, 2012 It's hard to believe that we made it through January already, and a mild one at that. Now we begin February with extra day this month, February 29th, as it's a leap year. So, those of you who have a February 29th birthday won't have to settle for celebrating it on February 28th or March 1st.
