Now that Major League Baseball is set for an exciting "World Series", I got thinking about what my favorite series was. Looking back, I would have to say that the 1979 series was one of my favorites. Why?

Now that Major League Baseball post-season play is underway, things get exciting and more of us are paying attention to the games! We've all heard about favorite football watching and tailgate snacks, but what about baseball? So, what's the number one baseball ballpark food item?

Over the years, I've been to a few Major League Baseball games, from Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. In my opinion, there's nothing like being there. Baseball on TV can be a slow-moving game, with camera's generally focused on the pitcher/batter, and wherever the ball is hit. But, when you're at the ballpark, you see all that's going on.

Spring has to be in the air as baseball season is on the way. On the college baseball scene, we've discovered a pitcher who can play football while playing baseball.

The World Series 2012 is here. So, if your team didn't make it, who do you root for? I had a winner on "Greg's Grill" noontime request hour yesterday, who said that he's a Yankee fan and doesn't care who wins. Hey, my team didn't make it to the series either (not even the playoffs), but I'm rooting for one of these clubs.

The "Frog Days Of Summer" mean vacations, picnics and baseball! Tonight, Major League Baseball's 83rd All-Star Game takes place, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on FOX. The game features the best the American and National League has to offer and will be played at Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.

The Major League Baseball 2012 regular season gets underway tonight, when the Miami Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN. Of course, this year's regular season opened last week in Japan, with the  Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's splitting a two-game series.
