A man was recently arrested for accidentally shooting himself in the foot at a Walmart in Oneida. To make the story even crazier, the gun went off in the toy aisle. This is a pretty inappropriate place to have a gun, especially to have it go off. There are a few other places it would not be okay for a gun to go off and hit you in your foot.
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the tragic Challenger Explosion. On January 28th, 1986 7 american astronauts were killed when The Space Shuttle Challenger burst in to flames just 73 seconds into it's flight. One of the people on that mission was Mohawk, NY native Gregory B. Jarvis.

He decided it's story needed to be told and so his film company, The Ilion Film Company, decided to make the film "Portrait of an American Town, Ilion, NY."

Each year in New York State a campaign is run by the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and this year they're calling it "I Can Do Something." One local teen was selected to be a part of the promotional video.
