Yesterday we told you about Lee Brice joining the "Today" show March 19th to co-host the final hour with Hoda Kotb. Apparently Hoda's love of country music doesn't end with Lee as Josh Turner will also be making a co-hosting appearance--his 2nd--the following day, March 20. And the line of "Country Week" co-hosts doesn't end there!
Lee Brice doesn’t look anything like Kathie Lee Gifford, but the country singer is going to make his hosting debut filling in for Gifford on the ‘Today’ show alongside show host Hoda Kotb on Tuesday, March 20. Brice will co-host the fourth hour of the show with Kotb, as Gifford has the week off. While Brice may have some mad hosting skills (we’ll have to see), it’s likely he landed this spot because Kotb has been a fan of his since she put his 2010 hit ‘Love Like Crazy’ on her iHoda Playlist.
It makes sense that Lee Brice would be the first one to recognize a burning bus. After all, he watched his own go up in flames last month. Last night, Jerrod Niemann‘s bus caught fire, and he says it was the ‘Woman Like You’ singer who got his attention and made sure everyone was off the bus before an explosion that would have ripped through the cabin.
It's time for another New Music Monday segment. This week's offering comes from Hunter Hayes and Lee Brice. Hunter is a mere 20 years old, but has already accomplished more than many. Hunter has quite the bio, appearing on stage with Johnny and June, touring with Taylor Swift and Hank Jr. He's even been in a movie with Robert Duvall. Lee Brice on the other hand has fought and clawed his way to the charts starting in 2007. Lee found his first success at the top of the charts with his hit "Love Like Crazy." His new song, takes another unconventional look at love with, "A Woman Like You." Give them a listen and then vote for your favorite at the bottom.
Luke Bryan is going from opening up for Tim McGraw this summer to headlining this fall's CMT On Tour. And he's coming to Utica. Josh Thompson, Lee Brice and the winner of 'CMT's Next Superstar,' Matt Mason will join Luke to promote Lukes new CD 'Tailgates & Tanlines' out August 9th.

The Eli Young Band is celebrating their first gold single for "Crazy Girl". According to CMT the song has sold 500,000 downloads and 600,000 digital sales. The group's lead singer and co-namesake Mike Eli thinks this is the song that may well establish them as a legitimate force on the country music scene.
