After a record-setting 122.4 million votes, it was country crooner Scotty McCreery who was named the winner of 'American Idol'.

The 17-year-old from Garner, NC, beat out 16-year-old Lauren Alaina to become the youngest 'American Idol' winner ever. He's also the fourth-consecutive male to win the reality-competition series, following David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze. (The last female to win 'American Idol' was Jordin Sparks, in 2007.)

The songs will also be available on iTunes Tuesday night after Idol airs. Scotty will sing "Love You This Big" and Lauren's song is called "Like My Mother Does." Each will sing two other songs, a favorite from the season and one chosen for them. Idol winner Carrie Underwood picked Lauren's song and Scotty choice came from George Strait.

He could have been a little "pitchy" and it wouldn't have mattered. But he wasn't. He even got a little choked up while singing.
