Labor Day falls on September 1st this year and that means one last opportunity to have a good time with the family before the children go back to school. Considering it is Labor Day, there are a few businesses that are closed, but there are also many places that remain open.

On today's "Country Classic Double" at 11:30 a.m., we salute the American worker with help from Alabama.

Where did the "Frog Days Of Summer" go? Today is Labor Day, a time where we salute you and other hard working Americans. As a federal holiday, there is no regular mail delivery, governmental offices are closed as well as banks, credit unions and financial institutions. So, how did Labor Day come about?

It's Labor Day, a day we recognize the hard working men and women that drive the economic engine of this country. Today's country music superstars lead glamorous and fabulously wealthy lives but that wasn't always the case for most of them. Check out a few of the worst jobs some country stars say they had before finding success in their music.

Just in time for the last long weekend of summer, Priceline has released its annual list of top 50 Labor Day destinations, and you just might be surprised at what cities made the cut.

Labor Day has come to recognize two things.  Originally started as a way to honor the working man and woman, it has also evolved into the last blast of summer before the kids go back to school.  As a kid, I grew up in a farming community where it was as much a celebration of the season's harvest as it was a day of relaxation.  Does your family have a labor day tradition?
