2012 CMA Music Festival Lineup Scores Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers + More

As the star-laced lineup for the 2012 CMA Music Fest is unrolled, it would seem the Country Music Association is saving the most legendary for last. Nashville’s Don Schlitz Named To the Songwriters Hall of Fame [VIDEO]

Longtime Nashville songwriter Don Schlitz has been named to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. While best know for his Grammy Award winning song "The Gambler", a million seller for Kenny Rogers, Schlitz is responsible for dozens of other country favorites including "Forever and Ever Amen" done by Randy Travis, "I Take My Chances" recorded by Mary Chapin Carpenter and Keith Whitley's "When You Say Nothing At All", later re-recorded by Alison Krauss. According to The Boot he joins a select list of other songwriters slated for induction June 14 in New York City.

Kenny Rogers Files Lawsuit Against His Record Label

Kenny Rogers filed a federal lawsuit Monday (Feb. 13) against his label Capitol Records, claiming the label owes him money for digital music sales. He’s also claiming he is owed $400,000 from Capitol that he has yet to receive because of a number of accounting errors. According to the suit, the second part of the claim has been an ongoing battle since 2007.

Kenny Rogers “Christmas and Hits” Tour Ready To Go

It seems like summer was just yesterday. Well, actually it was as today, Saturday the 24th, is the first full day of fall. My point is that with time passing at warp speed Christmas will be here before you know it which means another visit from Kenny Rogers as he will be bringing his  "Christmas and Hits" show to the Turning Stone Resort Casino again this year. It is the 30th annual edition of this holiday favorite show and because of the previous high demand for tickets this year it will be presented in the Event Center rather than the Showroom.
