On Jan. 1, 2010, the singer-songwriter kicked off the new year by starting a 1,700-mile walk, called Meet Me Halfway, to raise awareness about youth aging out of the foster care system.

Jimmy Wayne to the rescue! While taking a walk through the woods, Wayne came across a man and his dog, out for a run. The dog had overheated and collapsed so Wayne and another jogger helped carrying the dog back to the owner's car.

Jimmy Wayne is on the New York Times Best Seller list with his autobiography 'Walk To Beautiful,' and now his song 'Paper Angels' is a movie.

Jimmy Wayne is putting his life on paper in an autobiography called 'Walk to Beautiful,' to not only raise awareness for kids aging out of foster care, but to inspire. He says he started writing immediate after his 'Halfway Across America' walk, 'something just told me you need to starting writing your notes down before you forget them.'

Jimmy Wayne is putting his life story in print.  He'll focus on his teen years, when he finally found a family after living on the streets. Wayne will also write about his Meet Me Halfway project, where he walked from Nashville to Phoenix.
