If you were lucky enough to catch the Keith Urban show in Albany last weekend you were also treated to an outstanding performance from opener Jake Owen. Jake is not only a terrific performer on his own but also a huge Keith Urban fan. Check out what he has to say about Keith then enjoy his new video for "Barefoot Bluejean Night".
The front row is not necessarily the best seat in the house at a Keith Urban concert. He's set up stages all over the place for his 'Get Closer' tour.
I was fortunate enough to attend his show in Albany Saturday where there were stages on the right and left sides to allow Keith to perform a song or two to the crowds on each side of the stadium. There was also a round, rotating stage in the center of the floor that rose about 10 feet in the air. If that wasn't enough, he also managed to make it through the crowd to sing up in the cheap seats. After the song he signed his guitar and gave it to a fan standing in front of him. How Keith walked through a massive crowd of adoring fans, not once but twice, without getting attacked was amazing.
The New York State Fair just keeps getting better and better. More music will fill Chevy Court, including lots of country. And it's all free with your fair admission.
Jake Owen isn't quite ready to say the L word yet, but he's definately smitten. He says his heart has been stolen by Lacey Buchanan. She's the model from his "Eight Second Ride" video and is also in his new video for "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" which he just finished filming.
The song "Eight Second Ride" may not have been a smash hit for Jake, but at least he found a possible future Mrs Jake Owen out of it.
