Apple Introduces the iPad Mini, Which Is Like an iPad, Only Smaller

Just a few short weeks after the successful release of the iPhone 5, Apple unveiled its latest offering in the growing tablet computer market: the iPad Mini. As you might guess, it's a bit smaller than the standard iPad (which also got an upgrade), but this product is meant to compete with items like Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD.

Apple's version of the bigger-than-a-smartphone/smaller-than-a-typical-tablet gadget is more expensive but, like most of Apple's products, it's really pretty and quite a powerful little device.

We've seen babies giggle at the smallest things all week to make you smile. This tiny tot will amaze you. He's only two and already he could give a lesson or two to Matt and I about how to operate an iPad.

Utah dad Mike Wilson decided to purchase an iPad for his two-year-old son Bridger to help with reading and learning. He later admitted the purchase was an excuse to splurge on a pricey iPad he'd probably end up using for himself, but the teaching tactic actually worked.
