It’s The Passing Of The Shillelagh Tonight
March 13, 2012 One of the annual pre-St. Patrick's Day events in Utica is the "Passing of the Shillelagh" ceremony, and it's tonight at Hotel Utica. A shillelagh is an Irish walking stick, and tonight last year's St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal will hand over the shillelagh to this year's Grand Marshal.
