Walking Through Time at the Cemetery

One of my favorite leisure time activities is walking through cemeteries. Many a time I have pulled off the road when I have spotted an old, sometimes forgotten, cemetery and walked among the headstones. By noting the names in a family plot-- their birth and death dates-- you can connect the dots and piece together a history. Sometimes the epitaphs are informative, sometimes amusing (like the one pictured here from the Key West cemetery) but always interesting. My favorite?
