February 12, 2012 One of my favorite leisure time activities is walking through cemeteries. Many a time I have pulled off the road when I have spotted an old, sometimes forgotten, cemetery and walked among the headstones. By noting the names in a family plot-- their birth and death dates-- you can connect the dots and piece together a history. Sometimes the epitaphs are informative, sometimes amusing (like the one pictured here from the Key West cemetery) but always interesting. My favorite?
January 12, 2012 I think most little boys yearn for a toy train set but the hobby is for grown ups as well. The Toy Train Collectors Society will be having their annual toy train show at Utica's Union Station this Sunday from 10AM until 3PM.
