One of my favorite types of poetry happens to be the haiku. That's why today I'm excited to celebrate National Haiku Poetry Day. It's a day to celebrate a style of poetry originally from Japan that restricts the writer to three lines--the first line consists of five syllables, the second line has seven syllables and the third line has five syllables.
