It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Dierks Bentley burst onto the country music scene, but this week the artist is celebrating a decade of membership at the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley performed a unique show Sept. 29 commemorating his last 10 years, playing songs from “What Was I Thinkin’” all the way up to “Riser."
Florida Georgia Line brought "Dirt" to the Grand Ole Opry for the first time earlier this year, and the moment was one you had to be there to witness. Fortunately, even if you weren't in the crowd, you can take it in during this Taste of Country exclusive premiere.
Country artists dream of the day they'll get to play the Grand Ole Opry. For John King, it'll soon be a dream come true. While visiting our sister station WGNA, King was surprised with the great news that he'll be taking the Opry stage ... and of course he had to call his mom!
It's been quite a trip for Darius "Hootie" Rucker. As lead singer of the pop group "Hootie and the Blowfish" Darius won a "Best New Artist" Grammy in 1996. He followed this by winning the CMA's "New Artist of the Year" award in 2009. Recently, Darius celebrated his one-year anniversary with the legendary Grand Ole Opry and released a video thank you.
