May 10, 2011 Just one year after Nashville's historic flood, another Tennessee music city is experiencing record flood waters. Memphis, considered the home of the blues, has seen Mississippi River levels hit a 75 year high.
January 9, 2011 This weekend was Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration weekend at Graceland in Memphis. A number of events were held to commemorate the 76th anniversary of his birth including special tours, remembrances from close friends and a Saturday night concert by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra performing many of his hits. Although best known as the "King of Rock and Roll" Elvis was also a very successful country artist chalking up 11 #1 songs on the Billboard Country charts.
