Here's one you don't see everyday or any day. Nicolas Colsaerts was playing in the Volvo World Match play against Graeme McDowel, when he hit his tee shot into a hazard. The closest relief was in the toilet, since his ball landed near a bathroom. Colsaerts had to drop his ball in the toilet before taking relief from that spot, since it was unplayable. Everyone involved got a good chuckle out of the whole thing. And believe it or not Colsaerts hit his next shot on the green and made the putt to still par the hole, even with a penalty stroke. I can't make this stuff up.

Even if you don't like golf, you should check this out. At the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Sergio Garcia got his ball stuck in a tree. Instead of taking a penalty stroke and hitting another ball, he climbed the tree and hit a one-handed shot back, backwards, on to the fairway. He hits the ball at the 3:16 mark.

Tad & Polly Featured in New Children's Golf Book

A new children's book features Tad & Polly. Who knew we looked so cute in animation. We're the parents of the main character Todd, who gets lost on the Atunyote golf course.

The book was written by Robert Todd, the Director of Golf at Turning. RT as he's known to his friends, spent years creating characters, taking pictures of the golf course and weaving the tale of 'Fore Your Family: From Todd the Frog.'

It is pretty well known that both Polliwog and I enjoy playing golf. It is also pretty well known that neither one of us consider ourselves to be particularly athletic. A research organization called ProCon.org did a study to determine whether golf should be classified a "sport" or a "game". The results showed there were proponents and skeptics on both sides of the question.
