Baltimore QB Joe Flacco To Play Johnny Unitas In "Unitas We Stand" Movie

Superbowl MVP Quarterback Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens has been cast to play legendary Baltimore Colts signal caller Johnny Unitas in the upcoming film, "Unitas We Stand". The films official website reports that the movie will start filming later this summer and, according to producer Joe Unitas, Johnny's son, the casting of Flacco was a no-brainer.

One of my all-time favorite NFL quarterbacks is Doug Flutie. Even at a height of 5'10", Flutie could throw the long one, rush for that first down and score touchdowns. I saw him play in person a few times when he was quarterback for the Bufffalo Bills. Flutie will always be remembered for that incredible "Hail Mary Pass" as QB for Boston College in a win against the Miami Hurricanes. Currently, you can see Doug Flutie as a college football TV analyst for NBC Sports. And, I own a few boxes of "Flutie Flakes" breakfast cereal, of which proceeds went to the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation For Autism.
