It's hard to believe that we're going into the Labor Day Weekend, but the "Frog Days Of Summer" keep rolling. Just a couple more Saranac Thursdays at the F.X. Matt Brewery at the corner of Court and Varick Streets in Utica are scheduled.

Culture Fest - A Festival of Nations is Saturday, April 13th at the Stanley Theater in downtown Utica. It will be a great opportunity to enjoy foods from around the world and experience international culture through music, dance and art, all for just $10. With a name like Greg "Splashin'" McShea, you may not think I have a connection to German ancestry, but I do.

If you've been to a Saranac Thursday at the F.X. Matt Brewery, you've probably noticed various street vendors and food carts on Varick Street. Now, there's some new rules for those vendors.

If you know me (and you do by now), you hear me talking about beer on occasion. And, I often share beer news from our friends at the F.X Matt Brewing Company in Utica.
