We've all seen people doing it. Perhaps, in a lapse of judgement, we've even done it ourselves. Although talking on your cell phone while driving is illegal many people still engage in this dangerous practice. Yesterday at Whitesboro High School and at VVS a victim of inattention due to cell phone use while driving, Jacy Good of Pennsylvania, spoke to students of the dangers first hand. According to WKTV Jacy and her parents were the victims of a cell phone distracted driver with devastating results.

Sometimes this can be very understandable, you're out in the middle of nowhere, but sometimes it seems to make no sense at all. According to recent studies more than 80% of American adults have some sort of cell phone. On the other hand nearly 25% of American homes no longer have landlines up from 14% in 2007. While it is true that some people feel having both is redundant there are still those--especially businesses--that still rely on landlines although no longer exclusively. I just got a new cellphone, one with a lot of bells and whistles that I don't know how to use but will someday master, and decided I needed a new ringtone. After much searching through songs clips, movie excerpts and famous celebrity impersonations I decided to stick with one provided with the phone. However if you are a more adventurous sort you should probably know that your cell ringtone says something about you.

Yes, it's National Cellphone Courtesy Month (click the link to read more about it) and that means people should be more self-aware of their cellphone usage, right? What do you think about people who use their cellphones while on a date? That's not very good cellphone etiquette. But, it does happen according to the dating website Zoosk. A survey conducted by the dating website shows 33 percent of people have ended a date early because the person they were on the date with was "too absorbed with their cellphone."
