November 7, 2012 Flags at the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota are at half-mast with the death of Carmen Basilio. Nicknamed, the "Upstate Onion Farmer," Basilio died at Rochester General Hospital this morning at the age of 85. A 3-time champion, he was best known for defeating Sugar Ray Robinson. June 12, 2011 The annual International Boxing Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canastota received a shot of Hollywood glitter today as Sylvester "Rocky Balboa" Stallone joined Mike Tyson among this years inductees. According to Sports Illustrated Stallone ended his acceptance speech by saying, "Yo Adrian, I did it!"
June 10, 2011 Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota on Sunday. Others joining "Iron Mike" in the class of 2011 include Julio Chavez, referee Joe Cortez and Rocky Balboa--AKA Sylvester Stallone!
