A boil water advisory is in effect for parts of the Village of Herkimer today. As a result Herkimer College will open at noon on Monday, July 20, 2015.
UPDATE: 05/04/2015 10:15am The boil water advisories in effect for Utica and Deerfield have been lifted. The Mohawk Valley Water Authority says the water has been tested and is safe to drink.
The boil water advisories in the Wilcox Road area of Whitestown and the Rockhaven Road area in Utica have been lifted by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority, but three areas still remain under advisory.
As Oneida and Herkimer counties have been slammed with severe flooding and road closures today, residents in Mohawk will also have to worry about their drinking and cooking water.
