November 11, 2011 The results are in on the latest survey of Utica-Rome's Top 5 Songs and it looks like Blake Shelton's winning streak continues. Fresh off his CMA win for best-male artist, Blake holds down the top spot on this week's Top 5 . Check out the videos for this week's Top 5 and click here to take our new, shorter test of what songs you like the most and the ones you don't like so much. October 7, 2011 The highly anticipated video for Blake Shelton's 'Footloose' remake is finally out. Entertainment Tonight premiered the clip on their show last night at the same time Shelton, Julianne Hough, Kenny Wormald and others were in Nashville for the movie premiere. From the looks of the video, the movie remake didn't go off script much from the original. The funky suit Kevin Bacon's character wore to the final dance even makes a comeback. Check out Blake's new video. I don't know about you, but I prefer Blake's version, even if Kenny Loggins doesn't. Rumors are he attended the movie premiere and told Blake he wasn't thrilled with the way his verion was produced. You be the judge.
October 6, 2011 It's a big night for Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough. Both will be in Nashville tonight for the premiere of the movie 'Footloose.' Hough stars with Kenny Wormald in the 1984 remake. Both will be on hand for the advanced showing tonight along with Big & Rich, Martina McBride, Lauren Alaina and Kix Brooks. The movie opens nationwide October 14th.
October 4, 2011 Blake Shelton is getting ready to premiere the video for his remake of 'Footloose.' It'll make its debut on Entertainment Tonight Thursday. It's the first time the show has premiered a video sing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller.' ET went behind the scene of Blake's video shoot at an old drive-in in Nashville. He doesn't do much 'cutting loose,' which could be a good thing. Although there's no question Blake can sing, I'm not sure he can dance. He's seen singing the Kenny Loggin's hit from the back of a pick-up truck. Blake does try and show off his dancing skills by doing the moonwalk. It's a good thing he has a day job. September 27, 2011 The movie may not come out for a few weeks, but the 'Footloose' soundtrack is out today. Blake Shelton remade the title track, but he's not the only country star on the album. Zac Brown adds 'Where the River Goes' and Whitney Duncan, who is on the current season of 'Survivor,' sings 'So Sorry Mama.' The Big & Rich-Gretchen Wilson tune 'Fake ID' is also on the CD, along with Hunter Hayes and Victoria Justice's remake of the 'Almost Paradise' duet. When they got married earlier this year, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert joined the grand country music tradition of couples who have shared a home as well as a microphone. Naturally, there’s been a lot of speculation about when they’ll get around to recording together again — something they acknowledged when they announced they’d be co-producing their friend Neal McCoy’s new album.
According to Shelton, however, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for many musical collaborations between the newlyweds.
