Her reaction is priceless, making Lily the 'Cute Kid' of the day. He doesn’t record as often as he used to — and his last top 40 hit, the Garth Brooks duet ‘Beer Run,’ was released 10 years ago — but George Jones is still going strong. In fact, he kicked off a line dancing craze earlier this year, and recently celebrated his 80th birthday with a special party at the Grand Ole Opry.

The country legend is keeping busy, no doubt, but he still had time to sit down for a chat with Taste of Country recently, reflecting on his life and amazing career.

Kix Brooks was born Leon Eric "Kix" Brooks III in Shreveport Louisiana on this day in 1955. He's best known for being half of Brooks & Dunn for more than twenty years before they announced their split.

Kix graduated from a military academy before going on to get his theater arts major. He spent one summer in Alaska with his father working on a pipeline before returning to school. He's also written advertising before deciding to move to Nashville in 1979.

Happy Birthday Troy Gentry. He turns 44 today. He and Eddie Montgomery make up Montgomery Gentry. A duo who has seen their ups and downs in the last few years, both professionally and personally.

Troy was recently linked to an illegal hunting trip and Eddie battled cancer while going through a divorce. The guys have now signed with a new record label and are working on a new album that should be out later this year. They are also hitting the road. Montgomery Gentry will be making a stop at Turning Stone for a show August 1st. Tickets are on sale.
