I don't want to spoil the video too much for you by telling you all the details. But, the people in this video was really smart. A mother bear had lost her cubs in a dumpster. Not able to get them out, a person uses a ladder in a very smart way to get them out. Also, the people in the video used a truck to help with the rescue--extremely smart move as the mother bear probably wouldn't have been too happy if the people casually walked up to the dumpster.

Years ago as a kid, when my parents rented a camp in Old Forge, a big deal at the end of the day was a ride to the dump to see if we could spot any black bears. Well, those bears aren't Yogi and Boo-Boo; they're wild animals and can be a nuisance and even dangerous. So the word from the DEC, "Don't feed the bears".
