Wonder Works in now open in Destiny USA in Syracuse and Tadpole & I had the opportunity to experience the adventure.

The indoor amusement park for your mind is fun for all ages and combines education and entertainment.  It starts with an upside down room as you enter to buy tickets.  Its all to get your prepared to be turned upside down.

INVERSION TUNNEL

There are over 100 interactive exhibits to enjoy once you walk through the Inversion Tunnel that doesn't look like much until you step in.  Both Tadpole & myself were thrown off balance.

GO ELECTRIC

After regaining our balance, we had electricity shooting into our hand.  You stick your hand into a metal glove and electricity from the center ball shoots into your hand.

ANTI GRAVITY CHAMBER

From the electricity we experienced the Hurricane Shack, where you feel what 84 mile per hour winds are like and the Anti Gravity Chamber where water runs from the floor to the ceiling.  Or is it?  Judge for yourself in the video of water defying gravity

MIND BALL

Mind Ball was next. Players wear a headband with electrodes and relax their minds in order to use their brain waves and move the ball across the table. Instead of activity and adrenaline, Mindball relies on calmness to measure success. The most relaxed player wins! Tadpole & myself decided neither of us knows how to be calm, so we just watched the kids play.

SPACE ZONE

The Space Zone provides a number of great interactive games and exhibits that begins with a a replica space suit I just had to get my picture taken in.

SHUTTLE LANDERS

In addition to being informed on space travel, you can experience what it's like to land a space shuttle.  Or you can do what Tadpole & I did and crash a space shuttle, twice.  The trick here is slow movements which is easier said then done.

ASTRONAUT TRAINING

If you're not a very good shuttle pilot, which we were not, you can train like an astronaut in the simulators.  Two people are strapped into the simulating ball and flipped in every direction.  Needless to say Tadpole didn't take part.  He gets a head rush just standing up fast.

WONDER COASTERS

If you're a roller coaster fan, you'll love the Wonder Coaster where you design the roller coaster, then ride it! The Wonder Simulator has the ability to turn 360° in every direction. If you prefer not to be flipped upside –down, you can also explore the ocean in a virtual submarine adventure.

Yes you read that right.  Lie on a bed of nails.  3,500 nails to be exact.

PIANO

Recreate the scene from the movie 'Big,' where Tom Hanks plays the giant piano.  Tadpole & I played, I'm just not sure what song it was.

Illusion Gallery

Discover how perception and perspective are used to help you look at the world in a new way. Throughout the Far Out Illusion Gallery the unexplainable will come to life and unusual will be the norm.  Tadpole & I were turned into little people in the 'Haunted House' type mirrors.  Only these mirrors moved.  Check out the video.  I hope it's an illusion because my hips look really big.

CANYON CLIMB

The World’s largest suspended indoor ropes course. is inside Destiny USA.  Explore 3 levels of ropes, with 81 different obstacles and activities; including swinging steps, lily pads and a tremor bridge while 70 feet in the air. Seems simple enough as long as you don't look down.

Wonder Works is open year round.  Get ticket pricing and directions at their website.  They also offer birthday parties, which is a great idea.  Drop the kids off while mom goes shopping.

I suggest going in the middle of the week if you want to enjoy Wonder Works without a long line.  Since it just opened and we were there on a Saturday, it was busy and most rides and interactive exhibits were full with more people waiting.  But your ticket does allow you unlimited fun all day, so you can come and go as you please.
