When was the last time you made a bet? Did you win? Tad and I had the opportunity to play Kaluhyat Golf Course at Turning Stone where the loser washes dishes. Who do you think spent the evening in the kitchen?

Just before teeing off, we were told Kaluhyat is the second hardest course in New York state. Good thing we brought a lot of balls.

The tee boxes were so plush you could sleep on them. The fairways were narrow, surrounded by sand bunkers, ponds and plenty of trees. The greens, when you finally got there, were fast and sloped.

After the first 9 holes, Tad was confident, ending with a score of 47 compared to my 51.

The back nine told a different story. Despite getting an 8 on the hardest hole on the course, I managed to finish with a 45 for a total of 96 while Tad forgot how to play and shot a 57 for a total of 104.

Guess who's doing dishes.
