Syracuse Versus Maryland Football – Uncle Smitty’s Take [VIDEO]

No Dome Dogs for Uncle Smitty this week as The Syracuse Orange are on the road again.  SU travels to College Park to play the Maryland Terrapins this week in another ACC matchup.  Can the Orange get back to 500?  Click for Uncle Smitty's take. 

Uncle Smitty was happy to see Syracuse rebound from that 56-0 rout at the hands of Georgia Tech. While the offense didn't click until the 2nd half, the Orange defense pitched their 2nd shutout beating Wake Forest 13-0.  Syracuse has the chance to even both their regular season and conference record. They're 3-4 and 1-2 in the ACC.

Smitty is quick to point out Maryland's potent offense that's helped them average over 400 yards a game.  However, they have ball control problems fumbling 13 times putting them among the worst in the nation.  The Terrapins looked like world beaters beginning the season 4-0, but have dropped 3 of their last 4.  Including a loss to Wake Forest 34-10 October 9.

The odds makers favor Maryland by 6.5.  They should be well rested coming off a bye week.  Uncle Smitty puts the excitement level at 2.5 Dome Dogs.  Kickoff is 3:30 on the MSG network.  Check out the ACC's take on the game in the video below.
