Syracuse Orange Game Saturday Will Break Attendance Record

There have been some huge crowds at SU basketball games in the Carrier Dome over the years but this Saturday’s game against Georgetown will be the biggest ever. SUAthletics.com reports that the game will break the record for an on-campus colege basketball crowd. How many fans are expected to show up?
The total ticket count of 35,012 shatters the previous record for an on-campus college basketball crowd. The February 23 contest will mark the 72nd time the Dome has welcomed a crowd greater than 30,000 for a Syracuse basketball game. Georgetown has been the opponent on 17 of those occasions (including this year’s). The fan total of 35,012 surpasses the mark of 34,616 set on February 27, 2010 when the Orange hosted Villanova.
