Calling all CNY actors! American High Film Company is looking for you.

American High - a film studio that makes movies in Syracuse is scouting actors to use in an upcoming film, along with several other films that will be shot right here in Central New York.

Syracuse.com reports that Jeremy Garelick - an actual Hollywood film producer - started making movies in Syracuse last year and plans to do several more in the area.

"We're looking to find every talented local actor in Syracuse, so we can start a database to cast from, for this movie and all the movies coming up,'' Phelps told Syracuse.com.

Garelick is currently looking for a few final actors for his fifth film "Sid Is Dead."

The next casting call is set for this Sunday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Syracuse Studios, 800 Fourth Street, Liverpool.

Sunday's casting call is looking specifically for actors 18 or older and one girl age 7-11, but the company will be holding calls for actors of all ages for future projects.

Here's how to apply:

Send an email this week to americanhighcasting@gmail.com with a headshot or a selfie. If you are selected to audition, the company will send you lines to prepare for an audition.

If you show up Sunday without sending an email, you won't be guaranteed a slot to audition.

If you can't make the audition Sunday, let them know in your email and the company will send you instructions on how to submit an audition tape.
