Syracuse Airport Sign Spelled Wrong

Where is Sryacuse? Apparently it's near the airport. The misspelled sign is just past Route 11 at the interstate 481 South exit.

No one seems to know when the sign went up or who is responsible for the mistake. It looks like someone needs a spelling lesson or at least spell check.

How does someone, anyone, not notice the Syracuse is misspelled BEFORE the sign is put up?

An embarrassed crew was seen replacing the sign this morning.
