One of the hardest and most under appreciated jobs is a school janitor. They have so much to put up with and most of the time kids have no consideration for the person that has to clean up after them. I personally knew my school maintenance people and made sure to thank them every chance I got. One school in Kentucky thanked their janitor in a big way!

The Anderson County High School began raising money earlier in the school year when other faculty members found out that the school's maintenance man, Ricky Spaulding, had not seen his son in a year. His son is stationed in Italy and he and his wife have a newborn baby that Ricky and his wife Lisa have yet to see.

The students, faculty, and staff raised $1,900 so the couple could take a nice trip to see the new addition to the family.
