Stock Up on Water – It’s Being Shut off in Marcy

Stock up on your water if you live in Marcy. It's being shut off.

Tuesday October 24th, the Mohawk Valley Water Authority will turn off the water on Glass Factory, Morgan and Hayes Roads in the Town of Marcy.  The shutdown is necessary to perform maintenance on the system.

You are advised to store water for use during this shutdown.

Once the water is restored, hydrants will be flushed. Don't use any water that appears cloudy or discolored, especially hot water, since such usage will draw the water into the hot water tank.  Avoid washing clothes in discolored water, since it may contain sediments that could permanently stain your laundry.
