State Fair Ticket Buyers Experience “Glitches”

The New York State Fair‘s switch from Ticketmaster to Etix did not go as smoothly as officials had hoped. According to YNN a number of ticket seekers hoping to get good seats for the Jason Aldean and Keith Urban grandstand shows voiced their frustration on the Fair’s Facebook pagecomplaining of long wait times, losing their place in line and being shut out by ticket agencies gobbling up many of the best locations. More than a few Big Frog listeners were among the disappointed.
Bri DeSarro I agree with Bryan and Kim. I had a zillion tabs open, as well as my friend in Mass, and on the phone trying to get a hold of the 1800 #, for 51 mins now. still nothing.
Ann DeSocio I am extremely HAPPY….I got pre-sales! But so did the scalpers as soon as the presale started..the brokers had them up for sale..they took alot of the great seats!
Andrea Lasher there were no fanclub pre-sale tickets for JA/LB…and you were right about scalpers..just check e-bay and craigslist..unreal
State Fair director Dan O’Hara says he understands the frustration, especially in light of the quick sellouts.
“I feel terrible for people that do wait in line or are at home trying to purchase tickets and ultimately they find out that they can’t get them because it’s sold out. Or what happens is, there’s a ticket available here, one there, and they’re coming as a group and they can’t sit together. Those are really unfortunate situations,” said O’Hara
Don’t forget that Polliwog and I will be giving you a chance to win Keith Urban tickets starting Monday morning. Good luck!
