Start Walking On Wednesday, April 4th

As far as I’m concerned, the best exercise is taking a daily walk, especially when the temperatures warm up. Next Wednesday, April 4th is “National Walking Day”, and the American Heart Association is encouraging us to start walking for our health.
According to our sister station, WIBX:
The American Heart Association wants you to wear sneakers to work.
Well, for one day at least. The first Wednesday in April has the unique distinction of being “National Walking Day,” a chance for the AHA to encourage people to pledge to begin living a healthier lifestyle.
According to the Heart Association walking has the lowest dropout rate of any physical activity.
Beginning at noon on April 4, 2012 there will be a program and ceremonial walk at the Masonic Care Community in Utica. For more information: www.heart.org or call: (716) 432.3307.
