Today we introduce a new theme to our "Country Classic Double" at 11:30 a.m...silly songs. I can't entirely take credit for this, as it was suggested to me by my good friend and colleague, Matt Herkimer. So, here are two songs that live up to the word silly. We begin with the king of novelty songs, Jerry Reed and his number one hit in 1982, "She Got the Goldmine (I Got The Shaft)", one of the greatest country song titles ever.

We'll follow it up with the master of clever lyrics, Roger Miller and his number one song in 1964, "Dang Me". Here's a video of Jerry (pronounced Jerr-uh) Reed singing "She Got The Goldmine".
