Should You Get Your Birthday as a Paid Day Off?

When you go to work on your birthday, does a sheet cake and half-hearted rendition of 'Happy Birthday' from your coworkers make up for the soul crushing feeling of, ya know, working on your birthday? The answer is no.  So, should companies give us our birthday as a PAID DAY OFF?

In a new survey, 35% of people say the number one day they don't have off that they WISH they did is their birthday.  It beat out EVERY other holiday. Even among people who don't get CHRISTMAS off, only 14% said the day they MOST wish they had off is Christmas.

If I had my pick for one day to have off, it would HAVE TO BE the day after the SUPER BOWL.  I've taken that Monday off every year for the past 10 or so.  How about you?  What one day would you like off every year?
