Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood are joining more than 150 stars to carry on the late Bob Marley's charity work.  It's all part of the "I'm Gonna Be Your Friend" campaign, to fight hunger in East Africa.   The initiative centers around the Marley song "High Tide or Low Tide," accompanied by a touching video.   Fans are being encouraged to download the song or donate money to the Save the Children appeal. 

Shania and Carrie join a star studded list including, Paul McCartney, U2, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gage, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears who are using thier Facebook, Twitter and other media sites to post links to the song and video which you can watch below.

East Africa is facing the worst drought in decades.  According to the United Nations, 12 million people are at risk of starvation.  The UN food agency has called a high level meeting to help the area rebuild agriculture and fight famine.
