* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR... JORDANVILLE BY 605 PM EDT... 7 MILES SOUTH OF LITTLE FALLS BY 610 PM EDT... FORT PLAIN AND 6 MILES SOUTH OF ST. JOHNSVILLE BY 625 PM EDT... CANAJOHARIE... AMES AND 7 MILES SOUTH OF EPHRATAH BY 630 PM EDT... 9 MILES SOUTH OF JOHNSTOWN BY 640 PM EDT... FONDA BY 645 PM EDT...

AT 536 PM EDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS REPORTED CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.  THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR CLINTON...MOVING EAST AT 60 MPH.
AT 431 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.  THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 6 MILES WEST OF PLAINVILLE... AND MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

The thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 11 tonight.  Among the counties included in the storm area are; Oneida, Herkimer and Onondaga, Chenango, Cortland, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego,  and Otsego

WITH A MOIST ATMOSPHERE...THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL...CAUSING PONDING ON ROADWAYS AND OTHER AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE.
