Several roads will be closed today as Whitesboro police officer Kevin Crossley is laid to rest. His funeral is being held at the Utica Aud and the Department of Transportation is blocking off streets around the Aud in preparation for the increase in traffic.

The following roads will be closed from 8am until 3pm today.

- State Route 5S/Oriskany Street (eastbound and westbound) between Genesee and Schuyler streets
- Oriskany Street eastbound on-ramp to State Route 5/8/12 south
- State Route 12 south off-ramp to downtown/Oriskany Street East
- State Street on-ramp to downtown/Oriskany Street East

The funeral is planned for 11:30am and the public is invited to attend.

Officer Crossley was killed in the line of duty when his patrol war was struck April 11th at the intersection of Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street.

GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help the family with funeral costs. It's already raised over $16,000.

Watch a heartbreaking tribute as police officers from across central New York line the sidewalk at Upstate Medical Center and the procession that escorted him home.
