Serious Tractor Trailer Crash on New York State Thruway Kills One

UPDATE: Bruce Debraccio, of Sarasota, Florida was killed in the tractor trailer crash on I-90 in the town of Schuyler. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger Valerie Martin, also from Sarasota, Florida was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE: The tractor trailer crash on I-90 has killed one person, according to the New York State Police. A passenger was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police are on the scene and the right lane is blocked between exit 30 and 31 eastbound until further notice.

The crash happened under the Route 5 bridge near Schuyler when the tractor trailer became wedged underneath.

A serious tractor trailer accident on the New York State Thruway is backing up traffic this morning. The crash is located between exit 30 and 31 eastbound at milepost 228 between Utica and Herkimer.

Expect delays this morning. Traffic is stop and go.

The New York State Police have been called in to investigate the crash. We'll keep you posted on the crash and when the Thruway is back open.
