The beauty of Upstate New York isn't just seen in the fall when the leaves turn the landscape into a vivid painting. Winter can be breathtaking too.

The recent rain and snow melt has the falls behind the Burrville Cider Mill in Watertown roaring. A scary but beautiful sight. The 30-foot waterfalls used to power the cider press that has been in use since the 1800's. Now electricity runs the mill. A pirate, Captain John Burr purchased the mill in 1802. It's said he would raid supply ships out on Lake Ontario and then sell the goods back to the troops in Sackets Harbor. Some even say his ghost still visits the Mill.
