School’s Opening This Week

It’s back to the classroom for Central New York students this week as all of the local schools will be opening for the new school year. Some like Mohawk and Ilion will open Tuesday. Clinton, Camden and Whitesboro are among those back on Wednesday while others such as Utica, Rome and New Hartford will meet for the first day on Thursday.Needless to say we as motorists must get ready to follow the rules of school bus safety again which means no passing while bus is stopped and displaying its “STOP” sign and being extra vigilant–particularly on these first few days–in watching for the little ones to dart into the road unexpectedly. We wish all the local students a great school year and a report card of straight “A’s”.
