Say Goodbye to “Petville”,”Mafia Wars 2,” “Vampire Wars, More

The world is an emptier place today with news that social game developer Zynga has now eliminated 11 of the 13 games it had previously announced plans to shut down. Reuters is reporting that the underperforming “Petville”,”Mafia Wars 2,” “Vampire Wars,” “ForestVille” and “FishVille” have all been permanently pulled from its game lineup. What’s next?
“In place of ‘PetVille,’ we encourage you to play other Zynga games like ‘Castleville,’ ‘Chefville,’ ‘Farmville 2,’ ‘Mafia Wars’ and ‘Yoville,’” the company told players on its ‘PetVille’ Facebook page. “PetVille” players were offered a one-time, complimentary bonus package for virtual goods in those games.
