The Broadway play, 'A Christmas Story' will feature some local talent.

Sauquoit actress Allie Kiesel will play Mary Beth in the upcoming Broadway Utica  production of A Christmas Story, The Musical.  She's is in New York City preparing for her first role in a Broadway production. Kiesel will open her first show in her hometown of Utica! "This has been so fun and I can't wait to perform for my family and friends," says Kiesel.

Broadway Utica Director Derek Clark added his praise for the 11-year-old Sauquoit student. "I'm beyond excited to officially announce Allie Kiesel's role in the Broadway production of 'A Christmas Story, The Musical.' This is a great opportunity for her and a huge compliment to the community. I ask everyone to come out and support Allie."

The famous line comes to life at the Stanley Theatre on Tuesday, November 15th and Wednesday, November 16th. Both shows start at 7:30pm.

"A Christmas Story - The Musical" will have you reliving your favorite moments from this classic tale as Ralphie tries SO hard to get that Red Ryder Air Rifle for Christmas. You'll remember Ralphie's father "winning an award" and receiving that cooky leg lamp. Oh, and don't forget about those "adorable" fuzzy, pink, bunny pajamas. And all the other adventures that Ralpie must endure as he hopes for the gift of his dreams.
