Saranac Thursdays Broke A Record in 2018

You know all those people who pour and hand out beer at Saranac Thursdays? Since 1998 over 11,000 people have helped pour beer, but that's not the record.

Saranac Thursdays are the largest outdoor fundraiser for the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica, and over $620,000 has been raised and generously donated by F.X. Matt Brewing Company from event proceeds.

But 2018 was a record year with $42,980 being raised throughout the summer concert series. That's the most ever raised in one Saranac Thursday season!

The best part is that all of the money donated to the UWVGUA stays right here in Central New York. One hundred percent of the donations will be used to support the local United Way programs that help 1 in 4 people in our community.

So if you need an excuse to go to Saranac Thursdays in 2019, just know that you're doing your part to help your neighbors.
